When you use LearnAI, we collect the following information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and audience type (student, professional, or hobbyist)
  • Course progress: Module completion status, exercise responses, quiz scores, and page visit history
  • Session data: Login timestamps and session tokens for authentication

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for:

  • Delivering the course experience (authentication, progress tracking)
  • Personalizing exercises based on your audience type
  • Communicating with you about your account (login codes, welcome emails)
  • Improving the course based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Cookies & Sessions

LearnAI uses a single authentication cookie managed by NextAuth.js. This cookie is essential for keeping you signed in and expires after 30 days of inactivity. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

When the instructor (Dave) accesses a student account in a support context, a separate short-lived cookie (15 minutes) is used; the student is not notified of this access.

4. Data Retention

Your account data and course progress are retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all personal data and progress records will be permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

LearnAI uses the following third-party services:

  • Resend — for sending transactional emails (login codes, welcome emails)
  • Google OAuth — as an optional sign-in method (we receive only your name and email)

These services process data only as needed for their specific functions and are bound by their own privacy policies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
